Spain's Brossa Quartet will pay a musical tribute to Nazi concentration camp victims by featuring some of their compositions at the Porta Ferrada music festival, organisers said Saturday.
The quartet will on Sunday feature music based on various archive recordings of work and snippets of pieces composed by inmates in Nazi death camps.
The 'Music from the Holocaust' tribute comprises a reworking of pieces combining classical and traditional Jewish, gypsy and Mediterranean influences, organisers said.
The Porta Ferrada festival, held in the western city of Girona, is one of Spain's top musical and cultural summer events and offers a range of classical and early music concerts and recitals, chamber music and theatre and dance performances.
