Historic designation given to Anne of Green Gables home

The Ontario home where Lucy Maud Montgomery penned Anne of Green Gables has been anointed a national historic site. Leaskdale Manse, built in 1886 in Uxbridge, Ont., is where Montgomery wrote 11 of the 20 books she published during her lifetime.
