A Lipizzaner stallion lends its hoofprint to a commerative concrete plaque at Hollywood's Egyptian Theatre. The plaque will be put up for auction on Ebay with proceeds being donated to the American Cancer Society. The Lipizzaner stallions, part of a breed of white horses associated with the high art of dressage were threatened with extinction in the aftermath of World War II. U.S. Army General George S. Patton is credited with saving them from that fate.
